## The Data Wise Improvement Process

### An Eight-Step System for Using Data to Improve Teaching and Learning

The Data Wise Improvement Process (DWIP) is an eight-step model that guides teams of educators as they work collaboratively to improve teaching and learning through the collaborative use of data.

DWIP provides a clear, carefully tested blueprint that employs a wide range of evidence, from the “big data” of high-stakes tests to the “street data” collected through classroom observation and information about lived experience gathered from students and their families. And it’s supported by a suite of resources designed to help educators drive positive change.
