Carmen Williams
Carmen Williams is the Assistant Superintendent of Instruction and Innovation for Needham Public Schools. She is also an adjunct faculty member in professional education at HGSE. Leading with her core values of empathy, equity, and community, Williams has supported schools and districts nationally and internationally in developing communities of practice for continuous improvement and equitable student outcomes. She brings over 20 years of experience as an elementary teacher, building principal, and central office leader. As a professor, she instructs and supports educators in developing mindsets that embrace the whole child's identity as an asset to the learning community and enable collaborative work to advance academic and social goals. She holds an Ed. L.D. from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
