Penny Jayne is the managing director of the Global Education Equity Alliance (GEEA), an organization that supports teachers, school and system leaders in creating collaborative structures, building data literacy capabilities, and identifying and addressing deep cultural challenges related to teaching and learning. Prior to founding GEEA, she served as a teacher, a district instructional practice coach, and a school vice principal.
Jayne holds her M.A. from Monash University with a thesis investigating the assessment nexus, the extent to which a teacher's personal beliefs and pre-service experiences influence their evaluator practice about data use, evaluative technique, and the extent to which students are included within the assessment process.
