AfieMirshah-NayarDr. Afie Mirshah-Nayar has worked in the field of education for nearly 20 years. During her professional career her focus has been on the education of high school students. Her professional experiences include both school based and central office based positions. Prior to becoming the principal of Largo High School, she worked as a high school teacher, secondary content specialist, assistant to the associate superintendent for the Office of Organizational Development, academic achievement specialist, assistant principal, acting principal, and principal intern. She earned her doctorate degree from the University of Maryland, her master's degree from American University, her bachelors degree from the University of Maryland, and her administrative certification from Hood College.
