Anastasia DiFedele-Dutton

ImageAnastasia is the Assistant Director of Professional Learning for Hartford Public Schools in Connecticut.  She recently earned her doctorate in Educational Leadership at UConn, with a research focus on collaboration between coaches, teachers, and teacher leaders through the lens of micropolitics during data team meetings.She also holds her Sixth Year in Educational Leadership from Quinnipiac and a MA in Secondary English Instruction from UConn.  Anastasia student taught at Weaver High School and has been serving in Hartford in various capacities ever since.  She has a background in both neighborhood and magnet school programs. She has taught English in grades 7-10 and led various teams and programs as a teacher leader and has also served in past roles as the Magnet Theme Coach at Great Path Academy @ Manchester Community College, a district level Teacher-in-Residence for Mastery-based Learning, an instructional coach at both the district and school level, and an Instructional and Climate Support Specialist in the Office of School Improvement.  Anastasia is an ardent life-long learner and is currently a member of the 2021 Learning Forward Academy.  She also serves on the Board of Directors for the CT Learning Forward Affiliate as Co-Secretary Elect and serves as a board member at large on the CT Council of Teachers of English Board of Directors. 

Anastasia has led efforts towards continuous improvement practices in each of her past roles, as well as her current role, and is passionate about coherence, adult learning and creating optimal conditions for collaboration and capacity building.   Anastasia leans as a North compass point and is an ENFJ personality type, known as the “Protagonist”- doing her best work leading efforts of coaching and advocating.
