Barbara Mason

Barbara Mason is currently a Teacher Leader at a New York City Public School in Bronx, NY. Barbara has worked in the field of education for over twenty years as a classroom teacher (elementary and middle school), instructional coach, math staff developer, and mentor. She received an M.S in School Building Leadership from Mercy College, an M.S. in Childhood Education with an extension for Students with Disabilities from Mercy College, an M.A. in Secondary Education from the University of Phoenix, a B.A. in Judicial Studies from John Jay College of Criminal Justice (CUNY), an advance certificate in Early Childhood Special Education (Birth-Grade 2) from Fordham University, and an advance certificate in Special Education (Grades 1-6) from Relay Graduate School of Education. Her interests include instructional leadership, data-driven action planning, continuous improvement, and culturally responsive practices in education and leadership. Barbara lives in Long Island, NY with her three daughters and two dogs.
