Carissa Noel is an educational consultant who provides support to school district leaders and educators across Berks County, Pennsylvania. She specializes in facilitating school climate improvement processes as well as providing mentoring support to instructional coaches. Additionally, she provides professional learning around topics such as social and emotional learning and trauma. Carissa has experience as an elementary public school teacher, an engineering instructor, a K-12 instructional coach, and a science curriculum coordinator.
Carissa earned her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and English at Kutztown University and her master’s degree in Educational Leadership along with a K-12 Principal Certification at Lehigh University. She will begin her doctoral level work at UMass Lowell in Spring 2022.
Carissa first learned about Data Wise as a graduate student at Lehigh University and was thrilled when an opportunity for formal training arose through Pennsylvania’s school improvement initiative. Now, as a Coach Candidate, Carissa is eager to continue to encourage and support schools in Berks County and beyond in their goals to make data analysis and action planning more systematic, collaborative, and useful.
Carissa resides in Lancaster, Pennsylvania with her husband, two little boys, two rescue dogs, and a revolving door of foster animals. When she is not supporting schools, she enjoys spending time in nature, reading historical fiction, and teaching barre fitness classes.
