Tim Moriarty is currently a candidate in the Doctor of Education Leadership (Ed.L.D.) program at Harvard Graduate School of Education (HGSE). Over the last two years, Tim has helped facilitate four Programs in Professional Education at HGSE (two of which being Data Wise Institutes), served as a Teaching Fellow in three graduate courses, and engaged in a summer fellowship at the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) under the supervision of the Senior Associate Commissioner for Education Options.Prior to the program, he spent ten years in public education within Massachusetts, the first six in high school math classrooms (three as a department chair) and the last four as an administrator in a career and technical education (CTE) district. Tim has served on the board of directors for NCLA—a national CTE organization focused on scaling local and state best practices for high-quality CTE pathways for students nationwide—for the last three years, and within Massachusetts, he continues to build upon his work of expanding equitable access to CTE programs as a Contracted Program Coordinator for DESE. Most recently, Tim has co-founded LOTUS Strategy Group LLC, a consulting organization aimed at developing equity-mindedness within youth-facing professionals in various sectors, with two of his Ed.L.D. classmates. Tim holds a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in School Leadership from American International College, as well as a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Mathematics and Psychology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
