Cherina Booker

Cherina Booker is currently an Assistant Principal of Instructional Support Services at Flushing High School in Queens, NY. Cherina has a commitment to equity and access for all learners and believes that when equipped with the correct tools and support all students can achieve high levels of success. Cherina first learned about the power of the Data Wise Improvement Process as a social studies and literacy coach with the New York City Office of Renewal Schools and was immediately invested in using the process to support schools in figuring out ways to ensure that all students were receiving high quality instruction. Over the past two years, she has directly coached two schools in the process, collaboratively planned the systemic roll out of the Data Wise Improvement Process across 30+ K-12 schools and co-developed and led training for 20 fellow instructional coaches and over 65 school based employees including administration and teacher leaders.
