Elizabeth C. Zajac, Ed.D., currently serves as the K-12 Director of World Languages for Needham Public Schools in Massachusetts. Elizabeth supports the development of effective educator teams to ensure all students have equitable access to high-quality, inclusive and responsive programming. She believes that by cultivating a positive data culture, districts can enact a systems-based approach to curriculum articulation, alignment of best practices, and the implementation of strategic interventions to ensure all students reach their potential.

Elizabeth brings 19 years of experience to the work as a National Board Certified secondary world languages teacher, mentor and district leader. She has taught and led in urban and suburban settings including the Boston Public Schools in Massachusetts and Alameda Unified in California. She holds an undergraduate degree in French from the University of Rochester, a Master of Arts in Education (Teaching of French) from Stanford University, a Master of Arts in Education (Educational Leadership) from the University of California Berkeley, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from Boston University.Lisa Elkaabi is deeply committed to creating inclusive, positive and nurturing educational experiences for all students within New York City Public Schools. 

Her work in establishing equity-based continuous improvement systems, specifically in the Queens North High School district and Office of Renewal Schools, has guided schools in utilizing data equitably to inform instruction, implementing culturally responsive teaching and developing nurturing school communities. 

Lisa’s commitment to professional learning initiatives and capacity building among administrators and teacher leaders has been instrumental in fostering supportive and affirming school communities where all students are empowered to thrive.

As a principal, Lisa will continue to advocate for these values and practices, prioritizing equity, inclusion and student empowerment.
