Jocelyn Rodriguez

Jocelyn RodriguezA first-generation New York City student, bilingual in English and Spanish, Jocelyn earned a Bachelor’s Degree from CUNY Brooklyn College, a Masters from Columbia University and was the first Latina to hold office on the Board of Directors for the NY State Early Care & Learning Council.She has spent 15+ years in community-based organizations that were focused on education, capacity building and advocacy that strengthened systems of support and learning for children and families.  This, along with her enormous family (22 aunts and uncles, 165+ cousins) inspires her commitment to building a well-funded and well-resourced education system that starts at birth and that is centered on the holistic well-being of the family unit.  Jocelyn is a 2021 doctoral candidate in the Education Leadership program at the Harvard University Graduate School of Education.
