Angelique Smith

Angelique has an extensive background in the education sector, having served in various roles such as a mathematics teacher, district mathematics coordinator, district instructional coordinator, assistant principal, and principal in metro Atlanta, Georgia. Her leadership has been instrumental in achieving notable accolades for her middle school, including four Distinguished Title 1 School Awards and the Georgia Middle School Association Lighthouse Award. Additionally, she was honored with the Georgia Outstanding Citizenship Award by the Secretary of State during her tenure as a Title 1 elementary principal. Angelique’s educational contributions span two countries: the United States of America and the United Arab Emirates. As an academic principal in Madinat Zayed, Abu Dhabi, she developed a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) focus program at an all-girls school, utilizing the American Common Core Mathematics Standards. Furthermore, Angelique’s dedication to American PreK-12 Education led her to serve the Georgia Department of Education as a school effectiveness specialist for federally identified Comprehensive Support and Improvement (CSI) schools in rural Georgia. Her expertise in this role contributed to improving educational outcomes in these schools.
