Keisha Redd-Hannans

Mrs. Keisha D. Redd-Hannans is the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment at New Haven Public Schools in New Haven, Connecticut, USA. Previously, Keisha has served as Assistant Superintendent of Instructional Leadership, principal, and teacher.  Some highlights from her career include leading Celentano Biotech, Health and Medical Magnet School’s transition from a neighborhood school to a nationally award-winning magnet school over a three-year period, increasing student achievement, reducing suspension and chronic absenteeism rates, and being recognized as the Ward 5 Teacher of the Year in the District of Columbia Public Schools.

Keisha believes in the importance of learner-focused environments, ensuring coherence and alignment across the District focused on the instructional core, providing professional learning opportunities for staff, and creating a positive climate where all students can thrive.
